MilaBirkin | mars opposite mc. |
bonsai | My Mars is in Capricorn in the fourth and I don't feel like it's a moon in Aries thing at all. I feel that it might actually be one of the contributing factors to making me more reserved and maybe even leaning on the motherly and homely side. But mine's not directly opposite the mc. But others may feel different. |
athenaia | Probably safer to say that it's like having a Moon in Cancer (IC + 4th house = Cancer) |

You mean Mars in Cancer? At least for me it feels like that, not so much Moon in Aries. I have a really good rapport with virtually every Ram Cancer I know, I just dig them, Aries Moons, eh not so much. But I feel like a lot also depends on the aspects. For instance, tightest aspect my Mars makes is quincunx Neptune, and that adds the passive aggressive flavour to it, while opposition to Lilith sometimes feels more primal and enraged. While if you consider the writings of some astrologers, including Dawn Bodrogi, who I have so much respect, they say that any angle Mars is stronger, more fierce and prominent, even on IC, so perhaps it would be wrong to compare it a Mars in "fall". I've had people guess I'm an Aries, probably because of this position (because there is nothing else in Aries in my chart). |
MilaBirkin | I have moon in cancer and I don't identify at all with that moon. |
StubbornVirgo | I have Moon conjunct Mars in my 4th. It's like having Cancer Mars and a little like Aries Moon. I identify more with the Cancer Mars descriptions, though I've been mistaken for an Aries Moon before. ETA: My Moon/Mars is opposite my MC as well. 2 degree Orb for the IC conjunction. No quoting please. |
margym0o | I also have Cap Mars in the 4th and I would think it's more like having a Cancer Mars. At least sometimes it feels that way (I'm a homebody and a huge suck). Isn't Aries more 1st house related though? How does this relate to the 4th house/moon? |

Mars is ruled by Aries... |
DopGang | This is turning into "6 degrees of separation".

Ah, of course lol that's a bit of a stretch I think. IMO the way to add Aries flavour to a moon of a different sign is to have it fall in the 1st house or aspect Mars in some way (conj. especially). |

Totally! Mila, What house is your moon in, btw? And what aspects does it make? |
Aries23Degrees | If very close to the MC,it could make one an insomniac:The spirit(IC)is on edge and very tense at most times or needs to expel a lot of energy before being still. What can be assumed from Mars on the IC is a home that was very "busy" or had a lot of flux. Often indicative of physical violence /arguments or tempers flying in the home. If the Moon is challenged by tense Pluto, Moon in Aries/Scorpio or aspected by Uranus,it could also highlight that sense of tension. Some people with Mars close to the IC listen to a lot of heavy metal/loud hip-hop music. They usually want to keep things "happening' around their home. Or they could live in the city/environment where things are loud and in your face. It wouldn't be surprising if the one parent has/had a gun closet or a weapons/ antique knife collection that they displayed in the living room etc. Mars transited my IC when our home was burgled. I couldn't sleep properly that whole week |
diamondbaby | In my opinion, it's like having Mars in Cancer. Moon in Aries is a different energy. |
meyray | I don't think it resembles any other placement than what it is. It means your aggressive and willful energy is hidden to the public but you show it to your family or that you become assertive and dominant only with close people with whom you feel "at home". |
Kannon McAfee | No, not like it at all. Moon in Aries is your feeling/internal/subjetive/feminine principle expressing itself through a 'hot' quick-and-ready cardinal fire sign, which can be great for creativity (Clint Eastwood). Mars in 4th shows action is focused in (but not restricted to) home/private/family life. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification |
